Our Movement
Urbanology Social Science
Taking old, modern, and new concepts of themes which go well together on a social, interest, and hobby scale are of interest to Eclipse Knights. In house we call this Urbanology. A social science which involved everything within Urban Cultures.
Normally there is just one person representing a studio or group, but in Eclipse knights it is thanks to the team. The Malorum Artinorum is a sub group within the Eclipse Knights which is responsible for much of the research, experiments, and design process of everything we do.Currently the Malorum Artinorum developement team is working on Fashion, Slang, Recipes, Research and much more as a way to assist the Geek Movement. The developement team were all students at one point talking with one another of why people followed Popular Culture, Hip Hop, Disco, Hippie, Rave, etc. People would make such a big deal of the next big thing in a single Urban Culture, we asked ourselves why did people follow these tribes over others? why did it seem to have more meaning or more importance than other urban tribes. The Eclipse Knights had then decided that Urban Cultures are the same as one another and neither is better or worse they are all the same, and so started the beginning of our battle.
The sense of team work is at the heart of our journey into looking into different social interests and how they effect people on a psychological and sociological manner. Everything which has been done has been painstakingly recorded and organized from out database. To organize some of these terms we started writing them out as symbols. The symbols represent different terms which are commonly used in our developement phase and is still in the works. This is referred to as the Artinorum Social Reference Chart.
In order to create something you must first know what that something is. If we are going to help along pre-existing urban cultures as well as assist the developement in new urban cultures there has to be a clear understanding of it.
When people first think about a group that tries to ask questions and go where no one has bothered to go brings up the idea of the impossible. It might seem unreal and unjust, but the Eclipse Knights does this to bring people together who never normally would have met if it werent for the Urban Cultures.
The dreaming crew at Eclipse Knights asks questions about Urban Culture, questions about the people involved, and what developement will best help bring people together. A process of much trial and error which is a attempt in renewing and paving the road for urban cultures to bring back the feeling of new to the old.
Urban Culture Movements
Geek Movement
The Geek Movement's bases is socialogical issues such as Physical Abuse, Psychological Harassment, Sexual abuse, Emotional abuse, and Mass Neglect. Using urban culture as a vessel to assemble individuals who are passionate about whatever it is they like to do, but more specifically things labeled Geek.
When people form urban trives it transforms them from loners to a group which they are apart of and belong, which allows them to grow on the basis of their interest more than they ever would alone. Once they begin their growth it lets developement of a group occur into something that is dependable and sustainable as a culture.
