Desi

 

The culture of Desi was a urban culture which developed in India as a way to refer to regional folk arts before becoming an urban culture. Influences come from medieval south asia and its subcontinental continents including Sri Lanka, Maldives, India, Nepal, Tibet, Burma, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran. Desi got its start in the hip-hop, bollywood, folk, and medieval communities.

Desi's contemporary culture which combines influences from  early modern europe history, sri lanka, maldives, india, nepal, tibet, burma, bangladesh, pakistan, afghanistan, united states, united kingdoms, japan, and iran.

The Five Pillars of Desi are: g, e, y, i, and Natya Dancing.
