Information Age to the Network Age

We started in the industrial age, moved to the information age, and now we are changing into the network age.

Many libraries have not caught up to the information age... this accounts for digitizing photos, books, videos etc.

The Network age is to use the full use of our global internet network. People go on with devices such as Mobile devices, Laptop Computers, and Desktops. People can access digital information from just about anywhere and not just the library.

The Social Library

Then what will happen to our libraries? they should turn into places which help people become aware of information that could help them. That means socialization and demonstrations. Places where people can view and consume information from the web or the local data base.

Just as television gives us TV personalities Librarians who give talks will have more of a bond with people who attend.
